Skao Privacy Agreement

This Privacy Agreement explains how Skao handles information for a local iOS balloon-popping game with game progress, settings, optional image customization, sound, haptics, particles, and levels.

1. Scope of This Privacy Agreement

This Privacy Agreement applies to the Skao iOS app and explains how information is handled when you use the app. It should be read together with the Skao User Agreement.

For purposes of this document, "personal information" or "personal data" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, can reasonably be associated with, or could reasonably be linked to an individual, depending on the law that applies.

2. Information Skao Handles

Skao is designed as a local single-player game. The current app does not create a Skao account, does not send gameplay data to a Skao server, and does not require internet connectivity for core gameplay.

If Skao later adds accounts, online sync, advertising, analytics, purchases, public sharing, AI, or social features, we will update this Privacy Agreement and request consent or permissions where required before using information for those new purposes.

3. How Information Is Used

We use or process information only for purposes that are reasonably related to Skao and described in this Privacy Agreement, including to:

  • operate the local game experience, including levels, combos, progress, and balloon collection features;
  • remember settings for sound, music, haptics, particles, speed, and flash intensity;
  • display images that you choose for local customization;
  • respond to support, privacy, legal, or safety requests that you send to us;
  • comply with laws, enforce our User Agreement, protect rights, prevent misuse, or respond to valid legal process.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent, performance of the app experience you request, legitimate interests in operating and supporting the app, compliance with legal obligations, or another basis permitted by applicable law.

4. Photos and Device Permissions

Skao may use the iOS photo picker so you can select one image at a time for backgrounds or balloon collection covers. You control whether to use this feature.

Selected images may contain personal information if they show people, locations, documents, or other identifying details. In the current app design, selected images are resized and stored locally on your device for display inside Skao. The app does not upload selected images to us.

You can manage photo access through iOS settings. You can also replace selected images inside the app where the feature is available, or remove the app and its local data from your device.

5. Disclosure, Sale, Sharing, and Advertising

As of the effective date, Skao does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.

We may disclose information only in limited circumstances, such as:

  • with your direction or consent;
  • to email, hosting, security, legal, or other providers that help us respond to messages or operate our business, subject to appropriate restrictions;
  • to Apple or platform providers as needed for app distribution, updates, diagnostics, or platform compliance;
  • where required or permitted by law, legal process, government request, safety, fraud prevention, or rights enforcement;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of the app, where lawful and with appropriate protection.

6. Retention and Deletion

Local gameplay progress, settings, and selected images remain on your device until you delete or replace them, uninstall the app, reset your device, clear app data, or use any available in-app controls.

Support emails and privacy requests are retained for as long as needed to respond, keep appropriate business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We aim to avoid keeping support information longer than reasonably necessary for those purposes.

7. Your Privacy Choices

  • Game settings: You can change sound, music, haptic, particle, speed, and flash settings in the app.
  • Photos: You can choose not to use photo customization. You can manage photo permissions in iOS settings.
  • Local data: You can remove local Skao data by deleting the app from your device, subject to how iOS manages backups or restores.
  • Support communications: You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, or other rights where applicable.

8. Regional Privacy Rights

Your rights depend on where you live and which laws apply. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights where prohibited by law. To make a request, contact Skao-yb@163.com.

California, United States

If California privacy laws apply, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and receive information about categories of personal information, sources, purposes, disclosures, retention, and sensitive information. You may also have rights to opt out of sale or sharing and to limit use of sensitive personal information. Skao currently does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Canada

If Canadian private-sector privacy laws apply, you may have rights to meaningful notice and consent, limited collection, limited use and retention, safeguards, openness, access, correction, and the ability to challenge compliance. We identify our privacy contact below.

Singapore

If Singapore's PDPA applies, you may have rights to be informed of purposes, withdraw consent with reasonable notice, request access or correction, and expect reasonable protection, retention, and transfer safeguards. Our privacy contact may serve as the business contact for data protection inquiries.

Australia

If the Australian Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles apply, you may have rights to clear privacy information, access and correction, complaint handling, and information about overseas disclosure practices. We aim to respond to privacy complaints within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days where practicable.

For California residents, the categories of personal information Skao may handle are described below. Current app-local gameplay data and selected images are not designed to be sent to us by the app.

9. Children and Families

Skao is designed as a family-friendly local game and does not knowingly collect online personal information from children. The app does not require children to create accounts, publish profiles, join social features, or submit contact details.

If you believe a child has sent personal information to us by email or another support channel, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete or handle the information as required by law.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. For app-local data, Skao relies on the protections provided by iOS, device security settings, and the app sandbox. You can help protect local data by using a secure device passcode and keeping your operating system up to date.

No method of storage or communication is perfectly secure. If you believe there is a privacy or security issue involving Skao, contact us promptly.

11. International Transfers

The current app does not upload gameplay progress, settings, or selected images to Skao. If you email us, your message may be processed or stored in the country where you are located, where we are located, or where our email and support providers operate.

Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border processing and respond to requests about international handling of personal information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Agreement

We may update this Privacy Agreement to reflect changes in Skao, legal requirements, platform rules, or our information practices. The updated version will show a new effective date.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice in a reasonable way before or when the changes take effect where required by law.
